During the Great Patriotic War, in November 1941, from the city of Alexandrov, Ivanovo region, the plant, together with people and equipment, was relocated to the city of Petropavlovsk.
In difficult conditions, in February 1942, the plant gave the first production to the front. During the war years, the staff of the plant provided the front with radio receivers, radio direction finders, which are in great demand and popular among our troops.
After the war, the plant switched to the production of radio receivers for the needs of the national economy and the population, having mastered the production of products of the second, third and fourth generations.
Today "Zavod im. S.M. Kirov" JSC is a state-owned enterprise. The range of manufactured products of the plant is different. From the CLUB and the RVS radio station to the control unit for the BUSHK-2M oil pumping unit.
As a result of reconstruction, the introduction of comprehensive mechanization and automation, the implementation of comprehensive and socio-economic development plans, the plant over the years of its history from a semi-handicraft workshop has grown into a large enterprise equipped with modern technology, with highly qualified personnel of workers, engineers and employees.
