LED Bulbs For Car Tail Lights

Your vehicle's tail lights, located at the rear of the car, are vital to ensuring your safety on the road.led bulb for car tail light They help to make your vehicle more visible to other drivers, especially in low-light conditions, and also act as a visual signal when braking or changing lanes. It is important to regularly clean your tail lights, as accumulated dust can obstruct the light emission and decrease their performance. If your vehicle is equipped with adaptive or LED tail lights, make sure to follow additional maintenance guidelines that may be provided in the owner's manual.

When you hit the brake pedal, it closes an electrical switch that sends an electric current through your tail light bulbs.led bulb for car tail light The tungsten filaments heat up, and about one-tenth of a second later the lights come on. But if you swap out your standard incandescent bulbs with LEDs, you can cut that time down to a fraction of a second. That might not seem like a lot, but it can save you from being rear-ended by an inattentive driver.

Before you start the swap, though, there are a few things you should keep in mind. First, you'll need to find a replacement for the blinker module that monitors current drawn by the bulbs. Because the LEDs draw less current, they will cause the blinker module to react differently. Depending on the situation, this could result in an annoying fast blinking or a completely dead bulb.

Also, be aware that the LEDs have different pin configurations than your conventional incandescent bulbs. For example, an 1156 bulb can fit into a BA15S socket, but it will only work in single-function applications like turn signals and reverse lights because it has a single contact. The BA15D bulb, on the other hand, has a dual contact and can be used in both brake/tail and running/blinker functions because it offers two brightness levels. This is important to note, as it means that you cannot use a single-contact LED in a dual-function application without adding an external resistor.
